Enjoy the best sunsets from your rental villa in Ibiza
Ibiza is one of the most beautiful islands of the Mediterranean. Whether you are spending a few days holiday or actually live there, its sunset is a special moment when the sky changes color as the sun slowly disappears and, on this island, becomes an experience that can’t be missed.
Many people prefer to view the sunsets on the sandy beaches, being one of the greatest privileges offered by the white island. You can enjoy the sunset all year and practically from any point. Although it is ideal in places with sea views, preferably facing west, and after a day without clouds or haze.
Sant Antoni de Portmany: the town of Sant Antoni has a privileged west orientation to enjoy this moment, and from almost any point of its coast you can see how the sun plunges directly into the sea. A sunset from Café del Mar becomes almost an obligation if its your first time on the island.
Cala Conta or Platges de Comte: considered by many the best sunset in the world, it offers a beautiful view over a horizon dotted with islets. Located just 15 minutes from San Antonio de Portmany, this cove offers crystal clear waters, ideal for snorkeling and many other water activities. It also has a large area of sand, making it an ideal beach to spend the day in comfort. The experience is breathtaking almost from any point of the beach and the cliffs.
Punta Galera: does not appear in most Ibizan beach guides. Access is not easy, as the road is not signposted. In addition, as indicated by its welcome sign, Punta Galera is a nudist zone. This is a unique cove as there is no sand on which to lie down, instead huge plates of rock are piled one upon the other, making it one of the most impressive landscapes of the island. The sunset in Punta Galera claims one of the most relaxed island environments, and certainly offers one of the most striking snapshots.
Cala Benirras: hippie essence. One of the most famous beaches in Ibiza, the natural environment is surrounded by pine trees, golden sand, crystal clear water and of course, a spectacular sunset. It radiates an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. It’s one of the few places where you can relive the essence of the old hippie parties of the 60’s.
Es Vedra, Cala d’Hort: Es Vedra is the mythical and magical rock of Ibiza which sits just off the west coast of the island and is the 3rd magnetic piece of rock in the world. The sunset overlooking Es Vedra is a sight to behold from the cliffs or from higher ground beside the Pirate Tower.
